HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Hey, Everyone!
Just wanted to drop a quick line to say Happy Holidays and let you know what’s going on with Collideascope.
It’s been a great year – we’ve played a series of shows that went very well, and October just rocked! We wowed the crowd at EJ Thomas Hall for the United Way Docs Who Rock competition: about 1500 people were there, and despite Tim destroying the communal drum kit every act had to use, we put on a great show!
We also made our fist inroads into Kent opening for Equals Four at the legendary Outpost, which is a great place to play, and we rocked Musica at Mocha Maiden, a wonderful bar/coffee house/art gallery all rolled into one very cool place in downtown Akron.
The big news is that we’ve just finished laying down all the tracks for our first CD! The mixing process begins next week and we’re aiming for a January release, just in time for the Alive! Strings of White Light II benefit in honor of Phyllis Shilliday, (proceeds will go to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society). This will be at Musica @ Mocha Maiden, and we’ll be opening for Anne E. Dechant and Equals Four – check out our shows page for more info (www.collideascope.net/shows.html)!
And be on the lookout for our CD release party for our first CD, The Colors Inside. Details will be coming soon!
Hope you have a great holiday season, and we’ll see you in January!
